It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas

It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go.
Take a look in the five and ten, glistening once again.
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, toys in every store,
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be on your own front
door.
A pair of Hop-a-long boots and a pistol that shoots are the wish of Barney
and Ben.
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk is the hope of Janice and Jen.
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go.
There's a tree in the grand hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, soon the bells will start.
And the thing that will make them ring
is the carol that you sing right
within your heart.

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"
It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap- happiest season of all

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time of the yea

Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree

Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree

Rocking around the Christmas Tree
at the Christmas party hop
Mistletoe hung where you can see
Ev'ry couple tries to stop

You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing
"Let's be jolly; Deck the halls with boughs of holly" Rocking around the Christmas Tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone's dancing merrily
In a new old fashioned way

Rocking around the Christmas Tree
Let the Christmas Spirit ring
Later we'll have some pumpkin pie
and we'll do some caroling

You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing
"Let's be jolly; Deck the halls with boughs of holly"
Rocking around the Christmas Tree
Have a happy holiday
Everyone's dancing merrily
In a new old fashioned way

Let It Snow!

Let It Snow!

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

It doesn't show signs of Pauseping,
And I've bought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.

The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bying,
But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas

Have A Holly Jolly Christmas

Have a holly jolly Christmas
It's the best time of the year
I don't know if there'll be snow
But have a cup of cheer

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And when you walk down the street
Say hello to friends you know
And everyone you meet

Oh ho, the mistletoe hung where you can see
Somebody waits for you, kiss her once for me

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And in case you didn't here
Oh by golly, have a holly jolly Christmas this year

Have a holly jolly Christmas
It's the best time of the year

poop
And when you walk down the street
Say hello to friends you know
And everyone you meet

Oh ho, the mistletoe hung where you can see
Somebody waits for you, kiss her once for me

Have a holly jolly Christmas
And in case you didn't here
Oh by golly, have a holly jolly Christmas this year

A Christmas Story

I'm sure if you have made it to this blog, you have seen this movie in it's 24 hour rotation on TBS on Christmas Eve...

I, myself, have it on the entire day...
I can't get enough of Ralphie and his quest for his Red Ryder BB Gun.

The American/Canadian comedy, directed by Bob Clark, made it's debut November 18th, 1983.

A Christmas Story is a story based in 1940's Indiana, where Ralphie Parker's only Christmas goal is to attain  "an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock, and this thing which tells time." for Christmas.

He starts his quest at home by first approaching his mother with his simple request.

Unfortunetly he shoots (pun intended, haha) him down by telling him

"YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT!"

He nexts takes his case to school, where he must write a theme for Mrs. Shields class on what he would like for Christmas. With his theme and fruitbasket in hand, Ralphie is sure a good grade and approval will come from Mrs. Shields.

But he gets a upsetting surprise when he gets his theme back with a C+ grade and a note at the top that says:

P.S. YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT!!!

But I would much prefer to have a C+ than they fire department have to come and scrap my tongue off a frozen pole, after a triple dog dare gone wrong, like his friend Flick.

One of the most noted objects from A Christmas Story is Ralphie's fathers "Major Award"

Yes, kids...that is the prize you can receive when you enter the local papers' trivia contest and your wife know the name of the Lone Ranger's horse (i.e. Victor)

Sadly, it lived a short life when Mrs. Parker "accidently" broke it, much to the Old Man's displeasure.

Ralphie though kept his eye on prize and with two shoot-downs, he decided to take it to the big man himself, Santa Claus.

This overworked and underpaid Santa and his elves must have had a happy hour to hit after the mall meet and greet because after Ralphie fumbled telling Santa he wanted a football and having Santa pretty much kick him down the slide, Ralphie crawled back up to tell him what he really wanted...where Santa responded:

"YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT, KID!"

(p.s. I sooooo want to ride that slide!!)

It wasn't looking good for Ralphie as Christmas quickly approached. It def. wasn't looking good when his mother made him put on the atrocious pink bunny suit that his aunt  made him.

Christmas morning had come and gone and Ralphie was left sitting on the living room couch with no Red Ryder in hand when his dad told him that he thought he still saw a present behind the desk.

Oh yes, it was the "official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock, and this thing which tells time"

Though hesitant, his mother allowed him to go outside and try it out....and what does this kid do

SHOOT HIS FREAKIN OUT OUT!!!

Just kidding, Just kidding but he does get startled by the gun and break his glasses that he accidently stepped on...thank goodness there is those monstrous icicles to blame it on! : )

Hope you enjoyed this movie just as much as I did (do!)!!! :)

How The Grinch Stole Christmas Movie

As many things are now-a-days, the book, animation of How The Grinch Stole Christmas was also made into a full feature film.

The Ron Howard directed movie was released on November 17th, 2000 and starred no other than the one and only Jim Carrey.

If there was any one that I would choose to fill that role, it would defiently be him. He is a gifted actor when it comes to physical comedy.

It also starred:

A young Taylor Momsen (Gossip Girl) as Cindy Lou Who

Jeffery Tambor as Mayor Augustus Maywho

Christine Baranski as Martha May Whovier

Molly Shannon as Betty Lou Who

Clint Howard as Whobris

Of course, there is alot more elaboration in this movie then in the original animated version, but 104 minutes is alot of time to fill so they throw more than enough back story in here and there.

Here's a behind the scenes look at how they do the makeup and such.
